DAY 1: Welcome party with food and refreshments given by your hosts. Orientation of upcoming activities. Music Showcase this evening. D
DAY 2: Tour Century of Flight Monument and Wright Brothers Memorial/Museum. Picnic lunch and kite flying at Jockey Ridge State Park. Dinner at Moes or your place of choosing. (not included) L
DAY 3: A.M. activity consisting of dune buggy trips, hiking largest sand dune on east coast, or sea kayaking and possible other options. (fees not included) Drive 15 miles to Roanoke Island, pitch-in social and “The Lost Colony” Theatre in the evening. S
DAY 4: Many optional activities on your own which may include: Festival Park, Elizabethan Gardens, shopping in Mantoe or exploring a working commercial harbor in Wanchese. On your return to the campground a big Seafood Fest will be waiting for you. D
DAY 5: Drive 30 miles to Waves with a stop at Bodie Lighthouse and possible stops at the Pea Island Wildlife Refuge for bird watching and exploration. Lunch upon arrival at the campground. We will then visit the nearby vintage Life Saving Station and/or do some relaxing on the campground beach. Super at Uncle Pauley’s (not included) followed by a beach campfire. L
Day 6: Drive 26 miles to Frisco. Narrated bus trip to explore Buxton Lighthouse and Hatteras Island. On our return we will have a North Carolina Sunset Barbecue on the beach. D
Day 7: Kayaking or crabbing in the Sound in the A.M. Ferry trip to Ocracoke for a day of exploring and shopping followed by dinner and a sunset sail on the schooner “Windfall”. D
Day 8: Farewell coffee house with continental breakfast and departure. B
